friendly visitFriendly Visitors at CCPC

Friendly Visitors are a group of people who are assigned to visit members of our church who are homebound and unable to come to church any longer. If you would enjoy getting to know some of these wonderful people, then Friendly Visitors is a worthwhile volunteer opportunity for you! Both men and women are always needed to be Friendly Visitors and your time committment to this outreach ministry can range from once a week to once a month.  If you would like to become a Friendly Visitor or if you know someone in the life of our church who would benefit from a Friendly Visit, then please contact Amy Taylor, Parish Nurse for more information.

The CCPC Parish Nurse Ministry, Care and Nurture Committee, and the Pastors are very committed to the wholeness of caregivers in our church family. A new initiative meant to support the caregivers in our church family is planned for this year. How will we do this? Much like our Friendly Visitors, Church volunteers will be trained as Care Visitors and each volunteer will be assigned to a Caregiver. They'll schedule monthly visits, and this will be one-on-one time for church volunteers to connect with Caregivers. Our goal is really to encourage Caregivers – we want to contribute to their wholeness, support them in their journey, and strengthen connections within our church family.
As we move forward with our Care Visitor Ministry, we are asking 2 things:
Number 1: If you are a family caregiver. We care about you! Please let us know who you are. We want to get you connected with this program and to come along side you in your journey. Please call the church office and we will get you connected with the Pastors or Health Ministry.
Number 2: Please be prayerful about becoming a Care Visitor or a Friendly Visitor. This is a special opportunity for personal growth and to meet a real need in our church family. We truly can't do this without you! Care Visitors will be trained and will receive ongoing resources and support from Health Ministry and the Pastors.
More information will be available soon so stay tuned!
