Can I watch previous services online?
Yes. You can watch previous worship services at our Watch/Listen Video Page.
What are the church office hours?
Normal church office hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. During the week the main building is typically open by 7am and is secured in the evening after the last scheduled activity has concluded.
During the week, why are most of the exterior doors locked?
Each day, Central College Presbyterian Church has as many as 700 people coming to our facilities. The majority of these are Academy and Preschool students whose families need to know that their children are in a safe, secure environment. People coming to the main church building during the week should enter at the Welcome Center on the north side of the main building. Academy families use the doors on the east side of the main building.
How do I become a member?
Three times each year a six week Newcomer's Discover Membership class is offered which is lead by our Pastors and elders. Upon completion of the class, newcomers are invited to join our church. They are received by our Elders, either by letter of transfer from another church, an affirmation of personal faith, or a re-affirmation of faith.
What do I need to do in order to be baptized?
Call the church office and you will be invited to attend a one hour class on the meaning of baptism. This class typically meets monthly. Your initial call can also set the date for baptism, however, it is encouraged to attend the class prior to the baptism. More info HERE.
Does the church accept material donations of gently used items?
We are always grateful when people think of Central College Presbyterian Church as a possible place to make a donation of an item which they may no longer have use for. However, we would appreciate a phone call to the church prior to making a donation to see if there is a need. The church Food Pantry always welcomes donations of canned and other non-persihable food items.
Does the church loan equipment (i.e., tables, chairs, electronics, etc.) ?
God has certainly blessed us with great facilities and many pieces of equipment. We are charged with being good stewards of all of the technical equipment and furnishings. In order to continue to meet the week-to-week needs of the church and the school, equipment use must be limited to church and/or school sponsored functions and cannot be loaned out for personal use.
Is there a dress code for worship?
No! Some folks feel more comfortable wearing a coat and tie for worship while others dress far more casually. We are just pleased that you have come to worship with us.
Does the church provide counseling?
Limited Christian Pastoral Counseling is provided by our Pastors. Appointments can be made through our church office.
What can I do if I have a family crisis?
At Central College Presbyterian Church, we know that spiritual needs don't always neatly fit into Sunday morning or during business hours. If you feel that you need to speak to a CCPC Pastor right away, call the church office at 614-882-2347. If you call after hours, listen to the automated answering service to give you instructions of how to leave a message. The Pastor On Duty will be contacted and will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
Does the church have a Lost & Found?
Yes. A Lost & Found box is maintained for the church in the main building above the coat rack in the hallway between the restrooms. This is near the "tower" entry to the Sanctuary. Occassionally items deemed of value are taken for safe-keeping in the church office. Be sure to check in at the church office if you do not find what you are looking for in the L&F box.
