for students in grades k-7
The purpose of Sports Ministry Programs at Central College Presbyterian Church is to provide opportunities for youth and adults to develop Christ-like character through athletics. The programs will provide a fun family sports environment where everyone can enhance their athletic skills.

Basketball Teams and Cheer/Dance Teams
Co-ed basketball teams are offered for grades K-2 and 3-4. As much as is possible, separate boys and girls teams will be offered for grades 5-7. There are cheer/dance teams for girls in grades 1-6. All games will be played on Saturdays between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. The first game will be played Saturday, January 28, 2012. Players will have their pictures taken individually and as a team on Saturday, February 11, 2012. All players receive an award at the end of the season. More information will follow.
The season begins with practices the week of January 17, 2012 and ends March 10, 2012. Practices are scheduled as follows:
- 1 hour basketball practices are held between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM once a week on either
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (younger age practices are held earlier times)
- 1 hour cheer/dance practices are held between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM once a week on Mondays only.
An important informational meeting will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the gym (use the Kirk Hall entrance). At least one parent or guardian for each child must attend. Schedules will be handed out at this meeting.

REGISTRATION AND FEES
The deadline for registration is December 1, 2011. A $10.00 late fee will be added to all late payments. Each child must be registered separately.
Fees include the cost of a jersey (for basketball) or a shirt and pop-poms (for cheer/dance). Exact payments can be brought to the church office between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or mailed to the address below. Checks should be made out to CCPC with a memo of “COB at CCPC.”

- Basketball - If you register and pay before October 17, 2011, the cost is $60!
- Basketball - If you register and pay AFTER October 17, 2011, the cost is $75.
- Cheer / Dance – the cost is $75.
- The max cost per family per season is $140 for any sport.
- Payments with completed registration forms are accepted on a first come first serve basis. There is a maximum capacity due to space.
