Many of you who are reading this invitation worked with Rev Ellsworth during our early days at Montana de Luz and you may remember several of the children you met there and to whom you gave a loving hug. They are now in high school and hope to be able to support themselves after your help with their education. This will be a great day to celebrate God's love for these children and if you like, to have at walk through beautiful Innis Woods which is accessible from the back of the church property.

NOTECentral College FRIENDS will hear the story of CCPC’s almost 20-year involvement with the Montana de Luz Mission near Nuevo Pariso, Honduras Friday evening, September 14, 2018. Montana de Luz Executive Director, Morgan Brown will be our guest speaker. Part of you dinner donation will go toward this mission of Central College Presbyterian Church.

Thank you for your support. Find out more about how you can get involved HERE.

CCPC’s 37th mission trip to Honduras

The 2018 Honduras team consisted of three dentists and four assistants. Since there was no electricity, the assistants held flashlights for the dentists as well as the sterilizing instruments. They provided care to over 300 patients including nearly 20 patients at the local prison. Radio announcements in Honduras were made daily a week prior to their visit to alert those in need that this dental care will provided at no cost. Because of the great need, some patients walked three days for dental care. The dental team to Honduras deeply appreciated your prayers and support for not only their safety and health, but also for those who needed to be cared for during the week in Puerto Lempira.

If you would like to prayerfully consider joining this team on their next trip to Honduras in February of 2019, please contact the church office to let us know you're interested.
