Responsive Call to Worship (Psalm 148):

Leader: Praise God from the heavens!
People: Praise Him from the skies above!
Leader: Praise God, angels and all the hosts of heaven!
People: Praise Him, sun and moon, and shining stars!
Leader: Praise God, all creatures great and small,
People: Praise Him, animals and birds, reptiles and fish!
Leader: Praise God, kings of the earth and people everywhere,
People: Praise Him, men and women, young and old!
Leader: Let all the earth bring praise to the Lord, at whose word creation came into being.
People: We gather to praise and worship our God!

All Creatures of Our God and King | vs. 1, 5, 6

All creatures of our God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

And everyone of tender heart,
Forgiving others, take your part.
O sing ye! Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
Praise God and cast on God your care!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

All creatures, your Creator bless,
And worship God in humbleness.
O sing ye! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Unison and Silent Prayers of Confession

Almighty God, we have come to see that our lives fall far short of your glory. You have given your life for us, and poured out your Spirit, yet we fail to return your love with all our heart. Too often we are selfish and proud, ignoring you and neglecting others. Lord, when we do not truly trust and obey you, we are overwhelmed by self-pity, fear and worry. In Christ we are given a sure hope and secure love, yet we follow the false hopes and desires of this world. Have mercy and forgive us. Father, through the redeeming death of your Son on the cross, by your Spirit and through your word, transform and renew us to follow you with joy. All this we ask, confident in your unchanging faithfulness.

Breathe on Me, Breath of God | vs. 2

Breathe on me, Breath of God, Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will, To do and to endure.

Job: Various

Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us

Savior, like a Shepherd lead us,
Much we need Your tender care;
In Your pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Your folds prepare:
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are;
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Thou has bought us, Thine we are.

You have promised to receive us,
Poor and sinful though we be;
You have mercy to relieve us,
Grace to cleanse, and power to free:
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Early let us turn to Thee;
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Early let us turn to Thee.

Early let us seek Your favor;
Early let us do Your will;
Blessed Lord and only Savior;
With Your love our bosoms fill:
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
You have loved us, love us still;
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
You have loved us, love us still.

Doxology

Praise God from whom all blessing flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing

O for a thousand tongues to sing My dear Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King, The triumphs of God's Grace!

Jesus, the name that charms our fears, That bids our sorrows cease;
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears, ‘Tis life, and health, and peace.

Christ breaks the power of reigning sin, And sets the prisoner free;
Christ's blood can make the sinful clean, Christ's blood availed for me.

My gracious Master and my God, Assist me to proclaim;
To spread through all the earth abroad The honors of Thy name.

Daily Scripture
