Thank you for joining us in worship this morning! Here are the congregational lyrics and prayers for our 8:00am All Church Worship service. You can tune into the service at 89.5 FM on your car radio.

Responsive Call to Worship: Psalms 63:1-4, 101:1

Leader: O God, you are our God; earnestly we seek you; our souls thirst for you; our flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

People: So we have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.

Leader: Because your steadfast love is better than life, our lips will praise you.

People: So we will bless you as long as we live; in your name we will lift up our hands.

All: We will sing of your love and justice; to you alone, LORD, we will sing praise.

From All That Dwell Below the Skies

From all that dwell below the skies
Let the Creator’s praise arise:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Let the Redeemer’s name be sung
Through every land, in every tongue
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

In every land begin the song,
To every land the strains belong:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
In cheerful sound all voices raise
And fill the world with joyful praise.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord;
Eternal truth attends Thy word.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore,
Till suns shall rise and set no more.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Unison and Silent Prayers of Confession

Merciful Lord, we confess that with us there is an abundance of sin, but in you there is the fullness of righteousness and abundance of mercy. We are spiritually poor, but you are rich and in Jesus Christ came to be merciful to the poor. Strengthen our faith and trust in you. We are empty vessels that need to be filled; fill us. We are weak in faith; strengthen us. We are cold in love; warm us, and make our hearts fervent for you that our love may go out to one another and to our neighbors. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Response: Lord, Speak to Me, That I May Speak

O fill me with Your fullness, Lord,
Until my very heart o’erflow
In kindling thought and glowing word,
Your love to tell, Your praise to show.

Message: Followers of the Servant (Isaiah 49:1-16)

Christ of the Upward Way

Christ of the Upward Way, My guide divine,
Where You have set Your feet, may I place mine;
And move and march wherever You have trod,
Keeping face forward up the hill of God.

Give me the heart to hear Your voice and will,
That without fault or fear I may fulfill
Your purpose with a glad and holy zest,
Like one who would not bring less than the best.

Christ of the upward way, my Guide divine,
Where You have set Your feet, may I place mine;
And when Your last call comes, serene and clear,
Calm may my answer be, “Lord, I am here.”

Closing Hymn:I've Got Peace Like a River

I’ve got peace like a river,
I’ve got peace like a river,
I’ve got peace like a river in my soul,
I’ve got peace like a river,
I’ve got peace like a river,
I’ve got peace like a river in my soul.

I’ve got love like an ocean,
I’ve got love like an ocean,
I’ve got love like an ocean in my soul,
I’ve got love like an ocean,
I’ve got love like an ocean,
I’ve got love like an ocean in my soul.

I’ve got joy like a fountain,
I’ve got joy like a fountain,
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul,
I’ve got joy like a fountain,
I’ve got joy like a fountain,
I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul.
